The seminar "Drones as a marketing tool for tourism promotion" was held

The seminar took place on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Hotel Turist.

The entire project is focused on the valorization of tourist heritage based on advanced technologies, and the goal of this seminar was to raise awareness of the importance of using IT technologies in tourism promotion, with a special emphasis on the possibilities offered by drones today.

Thus, in his lecture, the owner of Max Media, Ivica Jeremić, emphasized the connection between drones and tourism promotion. Today, drones are used to create video content for hotels, resorts, destinations, attractions, and such content in many cases replaces monotonous photography taken from the ground, which cannot cover the width that a drone can. This is why today drones are one of the newest and best solutions for presenting tourist offers, and at the same time they are affordable and cheap.

In addition, the seminar focused on the possibility of connecting digital technologies and tourism through an example of good practice of cooperation between an educational institution and a tourist community. Ph.D. Ivana Đunđek Kokotec, FOI and Bojan Horvat, Looma Films informed the participants about the implementation of the Drone Pilot Academy Media Challenge, the goal of which was to present the attractiveness of northern Croatia and natural beauty in the form of multimedia content (videos and photos), shot from the air, which gave an additional value for the promotion of the northwestern part of Croatia in the digital environment.
